HISTORIC VICTORY HALL HOSTS
RED ROCK RONDO IN CONCERT

After 30 years of being closed and in dis-repair, the newly restored Victory Hall in Historic Downtown Spring City, will open it's doors on December 1st, with a benefit concert from the highly acclaimed, emmy award winning chamber-folk ensemble, Red Rock Rondo. This group, consisting of Hal Cannon, Kate MacLeod, Phillip Bimstein, Harold Carr, Flavia Cervino-Wood and Charlotte Bell will be performing a new song cycle, entitled "Secret Gift". The Group's composer, Phillip Bimstein was inspired to write the collection of songs after reading the novel by Ted Gup (The Secret Gift). The novel, set in the depression era, depicts families who received secret acts of kindness by the author's grandfather after he received letters from them pleading for help in desperate times. The discovery of these letters prompted Mr. Gup to tell their stories in his book. The resulting collection of songs composed by Phillip Bimstein tell of the heartrending pleas contained in the letters. They are pure and rich and are woven with expertise into this wonderful tapesty of american history, sure to inspire all who attend in this season of gift giving.

The show is December 1st, 7:30 pm at Victory Hall, 35 N. Main, Spring City. Admission price is $7.00 per person. The funds generated from the concert will be used to purchase final touches and equipment for Victory Hall. The theater will be hosting receptions, dances, movies, plays and other events in the future. Crazy Club Productions along with Victory Hall and the Spring City Inn are pleased to host this fine event, and wish to express our gratitude to Red Rock Rondo for gracing us with their wonderful talents.

The community of Spring City is excited that Victory Hall, this once heart of the town, will beat again with opportunities for cultural events such as the December 1st concert. Soon to begin will be a live radio show entitled "Life Under the Horseshoe". Crazy Club Productions will produce "Life under the Horseshoe" which will feature stories of past and present happenings in Sanpete Valley and rural Utah. The theater is now searching for musicians, writers, stagehands, actors, voiceover actors, sound effects persons and any stories that have been buried, either in the family attic or under the kitchen rug! Interested persons please call (435) 462 9145.

Come and Join Our Celebration on May 28, 2011 !

The Heritage Day Celebration includes a tour of many of the town’s charming pioneer-era homes and buildings, built along Main Street and throughout the town. Tickets for the home tours cost $10 for adults and $5 for children, and are sold at the Old Spring City School and the Old Firehouse, and funds benefit preservation and restoration efforts in Spring City.

An art and antique sale is also held at the Old Spring City School. A silent auction, called “Art Squared,” is held at the Old School, where patrons bid on one-foot square paintings done by well known Spring City artists including Osral Allred, Lee Bennion, Susan Gallacher, M’Lisa Paulsen, Doug Fryer, Kathleen Peterson, Cassandria Parsons, and many other Utah artists.

Additional artwork by well-known artists as well as antiques will be available for sale in the Old School and in local galleries. Breakfast and lunch is served at the Spring City bowery and is sponsored by the local LDS ward. Spring City is just off Highway 89, between Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim. It may be sunny in Spring City while rainy on the Wasatch Front, and the homes and art are lovely, whatever the weather!
